The proud prodigal son left the abode
With rage he said, "I won't ever come back."
The father watched his son strolling down the road
And stood by the window till it all turned black.
Unaware of the the awaited danger,
he went to the hotel and reserved a room.
And as he stared at the ocean,
he let his thoughts march into the gloom.
The night was of twenty-six eleven,
News flashed and the city echoed
The son called up his father,
No words were spoken, just the silence bellowed.
The unspoken words still remain a mystery
but they both understood each other's silence.
He didn't like to be a part of this history,
he thought, as he heard the distant sirens.
Soon entered a man and stood in front,
holding a gun in his right hand.
The son stood fearless as he knew,
By his father, he will always be manned.
The building that used to stand tall with grace
Facing the sky with utmost pride.
Now, stood shattered with no trace
of mercy, just like an abandoned wedding bride.
With rage he said, "I won't ever come back."
The father watched his son strolling down the road
